Principal's Message

Dear Montclair Families,

We  look forward to welcoming our students and families to the 2016-2017 school year and hope everyone has had an opportunity to enjoy quality family time and engage in some summer fun!

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 7th.   Our staff will be available on the back blacktop at 8:40 a.m. prior to the 8:55 entry bell,  to welcome your child and help them get organized with their homeroom teacher/class.  You can identify us by our neon vests and all homeroom teachers will be carrying a sign with their name and grade.

Class lists will be posted on our front windows on Friday, September 2nd, by  3pm.  You will need your child’s OEN/ student # to access this information.  OENs can be found on your child’s report card.  Class lists will also be available on our school website at http://mon.hdsb.ca/.

We are proud of our enthusiastic learners and dedicated staff  and look forward to working in partnership with you to help our children succeed at school.   You are invited  to be an active participant at Montclair Public  School, whether you are a classroom volunteer,  participant with Home & School Council, or available to help out with one special event,  we encourage you to get involved and be active in your child’s school community.

I believe it is our responsibility to recognize and meet the needs of all learners.  As a staff, we will continue our path of School Improvement Planning to provide an inclusive and collaborative learning environment that promotes student well-being and achievement for all.

It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school.  Up-to-date and additional information will be available on our school web site.  If you have questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to  call  your child’s teacher or contact the Principal or Vice Principal.

I look forward to the school year and seeing you at our Open House on Wednesday September 28th.

Have a wonderful  long weekend.

Sincerely,

Kelly Hughes-Allen, Principal
